Designing a folder
Folders are printed flat, then cut, creased and glued. Use the template for your folder style, keep text away from creases and glue areas, and extend background colour into the bleed. A clean front with a logo and a short line, and contact details on the back, is a classic approach that works for years.
Filling the folder
Pair folders with letterheads, brochures, business cards and notepads. For conferences, add a programme and a name badge.
Lead times and pricing
Folders need cutting, creasing and gluing, so they work best on Standard or Economy. Prices show online for standard folders; special sizes and spines are quoted. More detail on presentation folder printing.
Who uses printed folders
Professional services firms use them for proposals, engagement letters and annual reports. Estate agents hand them to buyers with offers to purchase. Schools give them to new families with forms and term calendars. Training companies use them for course packs. Hotels and venues use them for wedding and conference proposals. In each case, the folder keeps several documents together and looks deliberate.
Store unused folders flat and away from damp so the board stays straight.
