Scale and accuracy
Plans must print at the correct scale. Export your drawing to PDF at the actual sheet size (A1 at 594 x 841mm, A0 at 841 x 1189mm) with no 'fit to page' scaling. Include a scale bar so the printed size can be checked. Line weights that look fine on screen may be too thin on paper – check them before exporting.
Colour or black and white
Most construction drawings print in black and white, which is economical. Colour is useful for presentation drawings, renders, zoning maps and landscaping plans. Choose on the product page, or mix both in one order through a quote.
Every product page lets you pick a lead time. Economy takes about five working days and costs 10% less. Standard takes about three working days and is the price you see listed. Express is ready the next working day for 20% more, and Same-day costs 30% more for eligible items that are ordered, paid and print-ready by 09:00 on a weekday.
Same-day is priced high on purpose. If you can give us a few days, Economy or Standard saves you money.
Sets and timing
Council submissions and tenders often need several sets of the same drawings. Upload one PDF per set, tell us the number of copies and whether they should be folded to A4 or rolled. Large-format paper printing is eligible for faster lead times where the product page offers them. See office printing or get a quote for big sets.
Ordering plan and drawing printing: choose your options and quantity in the shop, upload a print-ready PDF and pay by card through Yoco or by EFT. Orders under R5,000 are paid in full before production; orders of R5,000 or more need a 65% deposit. Production starts once payment and approved artwork are both in. Collect from Shop L23, Rivonia Central (opposite NewsCafe Rivonia), Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or ask for delivery to be arranged and quoted.
